This is an excellent question! If your child is struggling with learning a specific sound, look at our 'milestones' resource. Children should have learned all speech sounds by 6 years old and should be nearly 100% understood by a stranger at 4 years old. If your child has not learned these sounds on their own, they require services from a trained professional.
